Shortcut to stylish: must-know Spring trends

Sep 07, 2026

The silhouettes we're buying now

New season means new trend reports for our Effortless Outfits members, so I've been knee deep in research.

But before I let you in on what's in for Spring I want to note: not all trends are made equal.

There's the micro-trends that are here one moment gone the next... but there's also a deeper kind of trend. An underlying current that defines where fashion is going as a whole.

Understanding how silhouettes, not just styles, are shifting goes a long way to creating that "cool girl" fresh and modern style you crave...

Sometimes the reason your outfits don't feel quite right is really just because you're choosing a dated length, shape, or proportion.

And one of the first things I look at heading into a new season are our basics. What's changed? Has anything shifted?

And for Spring 2026 I'd say: yep. When it comes to your core basics, Spring 2026 is really defined by shifting hemlines.

Think 3/4 sleeves, capris, and knee-length skirts... overall we're showing a bit more skin, it seems.

Where Spring 2025 was still leaning into fuller coverage - long pants, layers, and maxi styles - 2026 feels a little lighter without being a full departure.

To me, this is perfect for adding in some freshness without needing a full wardrobe overhaul.

Here's the style shifts I'm buying into this season...

Beyond the long sleeve.

Last year we saw looser fit long sleeve tees really hitting the scene - and they're definitely here to stay for Spring 2026. But it hasn't ended there: 3/4 length sleeves have entered the chat.

I love these because they style perfectly with most other basics you'd usually wear either short or long sleeves with, while adding that little breath of fresh air to our outfits.

V-necks are still everywhere, too, and really picking up steam now. More of an anti-trend that's likely to last a while, it's the perfect kind of basic upgrade that will simply leave you feeling fresh and modern without looking try-hard.

These aren't the only tops trends this Spring, but you'll need to be an Effortless Outfits member to see the rest.

A fresh take on bottoms.

Similar to shirts, we're seeing hemlines shift higher. Capris started peeking their head over the wall last year - now they've definitely arrived. I know, I know, they're an acquired taste but styled right they look more fashion-forward and less "Gran on a cruise". Promise.

If you can't get around the 3/4 pant, there's options. Knee length skirts, loose fit cargos, and bermuda shorts are everywhere, too.

And if it's not the length for you - don't worry, longer styles are certainly not a faux pas. But you'll have to become a member to see those.
